Hipster Yard Sale, Success!

This post is a HUGE THANKS to everyone who donated and shopped our Hipster Yard Sale Fundraiser. It really was a huge success. It took our team almost three full days to gather, sort and price everything that you donated! It was amazing to see what people gave, and that some of you were at our house before 6am the morning of! That’s really early people!

We raised over $3,000 – which has covered all of our construction supply needs (wood, paint, tools, etc!) for our Stone Harbor store, as well as a few additional store items! Seriously. Amazing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! And be sure to mark Saturday, April 20th on your calendar. That’s opening day for Stone Harbor, and it’s going to be incredible. BE THERE.

We Got The Keys!

Several weeks ago T.J., Jeff, Mike and I drove down to see the Stone Harbor store and officially pick up the keys. The store was still full of junk from the previous owners, but it is so exciting to have the keys to the store on our keyring now. Seems extra real.

Can’t wait to get started on our renovations and plans for the store. It’s going to be awesome. You can go ahead and plan your family vacation to be in Stone Harbor this summer… you’re not going to want to miss it. And it’s SO close to the actual beach. Amen + hallelujah!

Naturally, we’re excited for warmer weather to hit the beach. It will make our job of cleaning and building and painting much more fun.

The Inspired Collection – Lookbook

You have no idea how excited I am to be posting these images and this video. Sunday night we gathered a bunch of our friends, some pizza, fireworks and dance music… and had an amazing time! Every time I shoot a new lookbook I’m reminded of how blessed walk in love. is to have such supportive friends and talented people working with and for us. It seriously blows my mind sometimes.

The Inspired Collection has arrived just in time for graduation parties and your summer holiday! Bright colors, bold text and inspirational sayings. Fun in a nutshell.

Jeff did such a great job filming our photo shoot for a behind-the-scenes recap video. I had so much fun editing it last night. And I was dying from laughter over some of the dancing photos…. Tori’s “russian” dance… T.J.’s ability to jump super high… Sam and Lydia doing “high knees” as their dance moves!

Christmas // Behind The Scenes

While on an airplane the other day I was going through my phone and deleting old photos I don’t need anymore, when I came across a few snapshots from when Sam and I shot Christmas photos together! We had a great time shooting in between the christmas trees, using them to hold our clothes and props. I’m always amazed when I look at any kind of behind the scenes photo how ordinarily beautiful a location can be… but then, in the right light, with the right model and the right photographer – it’s simply magical (like this, and this, and this). Just another reason I love my job as a photographer.

NYIGF 2012

Last weekend, T.J, Mike, Jeff and I went to New York to place orders at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF). We left at 5:30 in the morning (ugh) and made it to the Javits Center just in time for the opening of the show. I can’t fully explain how giant the gift show is. With over 2,500 vendors, the NYIGF attracts 35,000+ buyers (hey, that’s us!) each year. If you’re not mentally prepared for it, it’s quite overwhelming. But we love it! We placed orders with some awesome companies and I can not wait to get all the new products into our store… headphones, wallets, home decor, bags, iPad cases, sunglasses and more!

After we were finished at the show, we headed into the city to grab some pizza (supposedly the “best pizza on the planet”, but I wasn’t convinced), then got stuck in traffic forever, and eventually made it back to good ‘ol Manheim.
